Altar Society

Helps to provide a proper environment for the celebration of the Eucharist. This involves seasonal decorations, some sacristy duties as well as some fund raising events to cover the costs of flowers, altar breads, etc. The society also carries out programs of spiritual formation for it's members.
Baptism Preparation

The Baptism program team assists with parent preparation classes and with baptismal liturgies for infants.
Ministry of Consolation

The ministry of Consolation extends payerful support and comfort to individuals and families who are experiencing grief due to the death of a loved one by conducting memorial services, making grief resources available and offering our love, friendship and compassion to the bereaved.
Albuquerque Interfaith

Albuquerque Interfaith is a broad-based organization of Congregations, schools and other volunteer associations, teaching people how to be active, effective citizens who work to improve the quality of life for all people of Albuquerque and New Mexico.
Catholic Daughters of America

An organization of Christian women who meet monthly to discuss and organize various works of charity for the parish, state and national needs.They also meet monthly for prayer, Mass and devotions and to give each other spiritual and emotional support in times of need.
Also, Junior Catholic Daughters for young girls ages 6-18.
Charismatic Prayer Group

Rejoices in the Lord every Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. in the daily Mass Chapel. The Prayer Group gives living witness to the presence of God among us: through joyful singing & praise, quiet listening for the "inner voice" of God, sharing an insight from scripture, praying for the needs of all who come.

General Service

At various times the parish office needs stapling, copying, inserts placed in bulletins, etc. There are also needs related to the upkeep of the buildings and grounds and help with the parish fiesta at the beginning of October. If you would like your name added to a list of occasional volunteers.
Intercessors

People are needed who are eager and willing to pray for the physical and spiritual needs of Holy Rosary Parish. This could be done at home (a rosary a day, for example); or at church (such as First Friday Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament); or in any other way a person my be so inspired.
Knights of Columbus

Our council is an integral part of the world's largest and most dynamic Catholic Fraternal Organization united with 1.5 million Brothers and their families located in the U.S.A. Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, central America & the Caribbean. The K of C provide opportunities, in charity and fraternity for service to the Church, community and country.
Legion of Mary

The international organization ministers tot he spiritual needs of the parish community. Active members are required to do a minimum of 2 hours of apostolic work each week. Auxiliary members pray for the spiritual success of the Legion
Marriage Enrichment

The weekend retreat's chief purpose is the building of happier marriages. Among its goals are the enrichment of marriages through personal reflection, through the sharing of experiences, and through the mutual support of other couples.
Peregrinos (Guadalupanas)

The purpose of this pilgrimage is to pray for vocations to the priesthood and the religious life. Their service to the community affirms the call of each person to live their baptismal vocation. The ladies' pilgrimage is held in early May; the men's pilgrimage is in the 1st week of June.
St. Vincent De Paul Society

Helps the poor by visiting their homes to determine needs and by assisting with food, rent, clothing, etc.
Small Christian Communities

A series of groups (each with 8 to 12 people) that gather regularly (usually every other week) to get to know each other intimately by sharing the faith, by helping one another to follow the Gospel in their daily lives, by praying together and by their loving services of each other and the larger community. The center of the faith-sharing is the Scripture. These small groups have the same mission as the whole parish community, but they are purposely kept small so that mutual support through personal relationships can more easily happen. The individual groups are kept in contact with the whole parish through a Core Team that guides and supports the groups.
Young Adult Ministry - CROSSROADS

Young Adults, single or married, ages 18-35+ can join activities sponsored by the Archdiocese including Theology on Tap, a monthly gathering and discussion held at local restaurants and other activities. For more information call the Youth and Young Adult Office at Holy Rosary.
Christian Formation/Religious Education

The aim of catechesis is to make God's love real and concrete, to foster a sense of identity and belonging in the Catholic community and to teach, pray, forgive, celebrate, and serve.
Breaking Open the Word

10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Sunday liturgies. This is an opportunity for children ages 5-10 to hear scripture in language that they understand and to talk about it. The children are invited after the opening prayer to go to another space. They rejoin their families at the preparation of the gifts.
Pre-school: 10:15 - 11:30 a.m. Sundays

This program is available and designed for 4 and 5 yr. olds and kindergarten age children. Sessions are held during the 10:15 Sunday liturgy in the Family Center.

Grades 1-5: 4:15 - 5:30 p.m. Mon. and Weds.
6:15 - 7:30 p.m. Tues. and Thurs.
Grades 6, 7, & 8: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Weds.

An opportunity to explore in depth the teachings of Jesus found in the Lectionary and to examine the doctrines of the Catholic Church.
High School Youth Group

5:00-7:45 p.m. last 3 Sundays of the month. Holy Rosary’s Youth Mass/Youth Night is open to all high school students, grades 9-12 and continues throughout the year. The program begins with the Youth Liturgy at 5pm. This Mass is geared toward teens and their families and includes contemporary Christian music. Immediately following the 5pm Mass, at around 6:15 pm the teens move to the family center for the youth ministry night. These programs include a combination of educational, hot topic and social nights. The youth group also sponsors other activities like service trips, retreats, outings and lock-ins.
Spanish Youth Ministry - SABOR

7:00-8:30 p.m. Thurs. Spanish-speaking teens are invited to participate in the Spanish Youth Group that meets on Thursdays in the Youth Room in the Family Center. The Spanish youth group has large group presentations and small group activities, and include topics like relationships, growing in faith, how to apply scripture to your life, what does it mean to be Catholic, etc. There are also opportunities for other activities on other nights like retreats, service projects, social activities, concerts, etc.
Student Leadership Action Team (S.A.L.T.)

6:00-7:00 p.m. Weds. The Student Action Leadership Team (SALT) is a youth core team of teens who plan youth activities, learn about leadership, encourage their peers to be involved and have fun together! We are looking for teens who are interested in having their voice heard, becoming more involved in youth ministry and working on service projects throughout the year. Any teen who attends youth Liturgy and youth night regularly may participate in SALT. SALT meets EVERY WEDNESDAY, from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Youth Room (upper room) in the Family Center.
High School Teen Confirmation

7:00-8:30 p.m. Sunday Youth Group and Certain Mondays. The Confirmation preparation process is open to any English-speaking high school juniors and seniors between the ages of 16-18. The Confirmation process involves reflection on and growing commitment to the specifics of following Jesus as an adult Catholic in today’s world. Prayer and rituals, presentations, lively discussions and activities all help teens deepen their relationship with God and the wider Christian community. Candidates are expected to attend all scheduled Sunday Youth Masses and Teen Nights. In addition, Confirmation candidates will meet several times a month on a Monday night from 7-8:30 pm.

RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiative of Adults is a process for the unbaptized and baptized person wishing to become a full member of the Catholic Church. Because it is a process of conversion and deepening our faith, we also welcome adult Catholics who have not celebrated the sacraments of Confirmation, Eucharist and Reconciliation. We especially need sponsors, persons who can make a commitment to accompany and share their faith journey with individuals seeking full initiation in the Catholic Church.

The Ministry of Hospitality - Ushers

Ushers welcome us to each Mass and help us move through the liturgy. Their ability to greet people as they assemble for prayer is a strong witness to all who come.
The Ministry of Art & Environment

The Altar & Rosary Society takes beautiful care of the environment that surrounds the "Table of our Lord". They would welcome the help of parishioners who could arrange flowers or help in the care of altar cloths and banners in the church.
The Ministry of the Altar

Servers assist the presiders at our weekend Masses. Boys and girls need to be at least in the 5th Grade and to have received their First Eucharist to begin serving at Mass. This experience of ritual "up close" gives our young people a way to become fully involved in the action of the Mass.
The Ministry of the Word

Lectors serve our parish in the proclamation of the Scriptures. Theirs is the task of telling the story of salvation and being the messenger of God's love for us. This happens through their study of scripture and their own personal prayer. We invite you to join our training program.
The Ministry of the Eucharist

Eucharistic Ministers serve "the one bread" and "the cup of blessing" to our parish family. Their service at the Lord's table grows out of their reverence of the sacrament and the people they serve. We invite new ministers to join our training for this ministry.
The Ministry of Music

Musicians and singers help us to respond to God's word, to acclaim the Gospel, and to sing of our salvation in Christ. We are always looking for musicians and song leaders to join one of our fine choirs.
Daily Mass Ministries

Our daily Masses at 7a.m. and 5 p.m. each weekday need people who are willing to serve as lectors, song leaderss, and Eucharistic ministers. These ministries support the ongoing prayer life of our community.
Ministerios Hispanos

La Parroquia del Santo Rosario ofrece un extenso ministerio para personas de habla hispana. Se ofrecen clases de inglés periódicamente, asi como programas para bautismo y matrimonia en español. Los Jueves a las 7:00 p.m. tenemos la Noche Hispana con catecismo para niños, grupo de jovenes y estudio biblico para los adultos. Tenemos dos misas en español, una los sábados a las 7:00 p.m. y otra los domingos a las 8:30 a.m.
